It has begun!

Well a group of 4 of us ( me and 3 others) made the treck up to the Brid's Nest tonight to see what we could of the Opening Ceremonies. We got straight in using the special subway line that you can only get on with Olympic Creds. I was pretty easy really. Then after walking around a bit we found the giant hole in the cecurity system. You we not suposed to be able to get past a certain point without a ticket, but we walked around to the back side of the stadium which turned out to be the performers' entrance. Well there was a barrier at the sidewalk to stop us, but if you walked up a few feet and down the side path you could walk right in with no one noticing. We got right up to the stadium (like 10 feet from the doors). It was awsome! We did not try to actually go in (that would have been pushing our luck). But all along the back side of the stadium the performers were coming in and out. They were talking to us and getting pictures taken with us. It was very cool. There were maybe 300 young guys from the Shou Lin Temple that all wanted their picture taken with me. I don't think they had ever seen and blond white girl before. Very cool. The torch lighting and fireworks were well worth the walk and the crowds. Great night.

Me too! Everybody at my office is watching. I'm cool by association. While we watch tonight on TV, I'll be checking out the shadows around the entrance to see if I can spot any blonds. Photos with 300 guys!!!

Charlotte Lydia! You better stop taking pictures with some young guys, or else!

P.S. We want more pictures!
