I woke up at 6am this morning. Not too bad. We went to an American style breakfast this morning (though the cab driver dropped us off 2 bocks away from were we had asked). Then took a cab to the Dirt Market. It is a huge outdoor market place only open on the weekends. We learned how to haggle with the locals, that was fun. They use calculators to show you how much. Then you type in your counter offer. The back and forth can go on for a while until you settle on a price.

this is totally sweet! Now you know all the hot spots/customs so we can make a mad dash around the city in the 3 days that I will be there. Have fun at the Wall today!
Maybe you can get a better deal if you pull out an abacus... or a live honey badger..
