We started and ended our day in St. Peter's today. This morning we climbed to the top of the dome and toured the basilica. Unbelievable! Then as we were catching some random CNN in the hotel room tonight we heard about the Pope's vigil for peace in Syria and headed over. There must have been about 20 thousand people in virtual silence...crazy. There was a choir that we caught then end of, but mostly silence. We only stayed for about 30 minutes and didn't see the Pope. Still totally awesome.
