Pompeii was amazing. The level of preservation is so good you can really get a sense of what life was like in ancient Roman times. The level of city planning they had blows your mind. And it is huge! All the while Vesuvius looming in the background. So cool!
Then lunch on the water, swimming, a true Neapolitan pizza for dinner, local wine, and fireworks in the bay to round out the night! Awesome birthday for me!
