So to officially say we have been on the Amalfi Coast, we had to take the ferry down to Positano, the official beginning of the Amalfi Coast. I'd say it was worth it. We walked to the top lookout and had lunch. The went down to the beach and swam in the afternoon. I will say that pebble (lava rock) beaches are horrible on the feet. It was also probably the saltiest water I have ever encountered. I had a thick film of salt on my skin after. Worth it!
